​David leads SHK’s senior executive practice, specialising in search assignments for C-suite roles and their direct reports, including general management, operations, strategy and people and culture positions. This includes a focus on Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer appointments. In addition, he enjoys pursuing his personal passions in Indigenous affairs, diversity and inclusion and investment management by undertaking select senior executive appointments in these areas.David relishes the trust and deep partnerships he has nurtured with his clients, and is acknowledged by clients and candidates for the judgment and insight he brings to his search and selection practice along with his candidate and client care. Having fostered strong functional networks across the corporate, public and not-for-profit sectors, David has built a track record of successful delivery, sourcing talent from within Australia and across international markets.David joined the firm after a 25-year career in strategy, marketing and operations. This includes numerous years as an executive responsible for strategy and clients. In addition, he has also previously consulted on strategy, operational and marketing issues for a range of organisations in the sports and retail sectors. He has held board and advisory committee roles for a variety of not-for-profit and community organisations with a particular focus on reconciliation, education and the arts. At SHK, David has also been identified to lead and promote best-practice diversity and inclusion, and community programs.
