I’ve built and led three great digital ventures, created three admired brands, and pioneered new business models for media. I came to digital media in its earliest days, and as editor in chief took Slate to record audiences and profitability, and developed its podcast business. From 2014-2020, I was CEO of the startup Atlas Obscura, successfully raising capital from VCs and strategics, turning Atlas Obscura into a beloved brand, and pivoting its business into trips and experiences. In early 2021, I launched CIty Cast, a network of daily local podcasts and newsletters, now operating in 11 cities. I also nurture supportive, high-performing company cultures.
