I have built a reputation for my ability to see all sides of an issue and bring parties together; effectively managing cross-functional teams and multi-million dollar budgets; balancing “the micro with the macro;” and merging legal, management, and organizational skills to achieve goals and the mission.Throughout my career, I have focused my efforts on diverse areas of construction and real estate law, and management of commercial properties. Whether litigating, arbitrating or mediating, my experience has included representing private parties, government agencies and major development/construction companies on both the plaintiff and defense sides of large-scale multi-year cases. In addition to the legal aspects of real estate, I have had exposure to most facets of commercial property management. My experience includes:✔ Construction Litigation—Handled multi-million dollar heavy construction related lawsuits impacting hundreds of stakeholders. Example cases include representing 150 homeowners against the city of San Bernardino, and representing 200+ residents of Millennium Tower in San Francisco against the Transbay Joint Powers Authority. ✔ Property Management / Development—Managed a portfolio of commercial properties spanning four states and ranging in size from 50K to 300K sq. ft.; oversaw refurbishments, tenant improvements, and facilities maintenance; managed vendor relations; served as liaison between tenants and ownership; handled contracts and leases; and played a pivotal role in executing the highly profitable sale of the portfolio.✔ Litigation Management— Managed multiple large-scale, multi-year litigation projects; established branch offices throughout California; organized legal teams, consultants and experts; oversaw document retention, review and production; and developed managed budgets up to $10M.When I’m not working, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and cinema. I also Chair my community homelessness task force.
