• Led the establishment of a national Major Projects group with staff in several RPS offices including Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Port Hedland. The group’s role is to facilitate high level strategic and commercial discipline to RPS’s largest projects as well as facilitating strong project management.• Delivered projects across a wide variety of market sectors and industries in Australia and overseas.• Commercial and financial management of a JV on a 2,430 acre Greenfield development of a large $500M master planned community between Austin and San Antonio, Texas. • Company representative across a large number of key clients having negotiated and executed MSA’s including those with, Origin Energy, Santos, QGC, Aurizon, Glencore, Queensland Rail, Bechtel, BMA, BHPIO.

• Overall responsibility for Corporate matters as well as working closely with the Board to deliver key strategic change. Work extensively on operational matters including significant aspects of HR, IT, Business Development • The role also included responsibility for risk management at a Corporate and Project level including all commercial, contract and insurance matters.• Oversaw the restructure of the former Conics Group from 17 operating entities to a single entity and divisional business operation.• Led the investigation, testing and roll out of a new fully integrated finance system across all RPS East Coast operations replacing many different legacy systems.

• Worked closely with the Board and CEO as the CFO to grow the Conics Group and its legacy businesses from approximately 60 staff to close to 1000 over this period. Expanded the operations from a largely development based business to a broad ranging multidisciplinary consultancy covering the Mining, Energy, Infrastructure and Urban Growth sectors.• The growth strategy included many mergers and acquisitions with entities to expand the core business and broaden the business into areas consistent with the growth strategy.• As a public company with commensurate reporting requirements, David was responsible for all corporate financial reporting including external audit and taxation matters and governance

• Commenced working for PricewaterhouseCoopers (and its predecessors) in the Audit Division and had a wide and varied career with PwC including the following highlights.• Secondment to the Manchester office in the UK • Audit Manager responsible for the then Mount Isa Mines operations across several locations (now Glencore) over several years• Resident Manager for the Cairns office of Coopers & Lybrand reporting to Brisbane and Townsville partnership.• Audit Manager in various locations• One of the first specialist GST advisors in North Queensland• Manager of Corporate and Indirect Tax in the Far North Queensland region• As well as mining David worked extensively with client in the Tourism, Agriculture, Engineering, and Public Sectors.
