David Pope has worked in the Cinema industry for over 20 years. Trained as an audio engineer with Neve, he worked as a sound dubbing consultant for Sony Cinema Products and quickly rose to be General Manager of their European Operation. David joined DTS as Director of Business Development in 2001 and is well known for his work in supporting the Disability Working Group and establishing a subtitling and audio description service to UK Cinemas. In January 2010 he joined XDC (now dcinex) as Director of Operations for UK and IE. He successfully established XDC as the leading digital cinema company for the independent exhibition sector. David Pope is currently a director at MusicScreen Ltd a dynamic new content provider to the cinema industry. The company broadcast live music events into cinema from iconic venues around the world. Projects include, Sony Music’s artist, Laura Mvula Live from The Paradiso Amsterdam, screened on March 5th 2015 and KISS Rocks Vegas screened in over 1,000 cinemas worldwide on May 25th 2016.
