I am a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo, and specialize in introducing families to Martial Arts. I focus on developing the fundamentals of striking, kicking, and stances to create a strong base from which to expand. I am also certified in Verbal Judo, a peace conflict resolution techique.We work on a 6 week curriculum where we work on a different set of skills each week such as kicking, forms, sparring, and self defense. At the end of each session those that have mastered the skills taught will be invited to test for their next belt. We offer Children's classes and family classes. The family classes are awesome for providing a common activity that parents can do along side of their kids.We teach to all skill levels, providing a curriculum for beginners who have no formal training at all, all the way up to students whose goal is to compete in local, regional and even national competitions.Specialties: Much of my teaching experience has been in working with children ages 4 - 16 to not only teach them the skills necessary to be competent martial artists, but to develop life skills that translate throughout all aspects of their lives. I work very hard to instill a strong work ethic, sense of personal responsibility, and respect for teachers, parents and friends. I take great pride in knowing my students represent my school and their families in a positive way.
