Upon completing my FCG rotation at Ford (see previous work experience), I opted to go into the Hypoid Gear Design Group within the Transmission and Driveline Department at Ford. I am a Design and Release engineer responsible for designing and delivering prototype hypoid gears to several programs. I assist in the process from sizing of gear to the testing of the gear until we are confident to be able to release the component into the manufacturing process.

This program allowed me to rotated within the Transmission and Driveline Product Development Department in order to increase my knowledge base of the engineering departmental specialties. Led the design of the 8F24 Transmission Build Book.- Hypoid Gear Component Engineering Group – April 16’ - Oct 16’Provided support for the second phase of prototype components of Hypoid Gears.Interacted with manufacturing suppliers on timing and data collection in order to deliver in-spec parts.Assisted in micro-design of Hypoid gear teeth with KIMoS Software.- AVL Transmission Calibration Group – Oct 16’ - April 17’Tested all new prototype transmissions and vehicle for transmission shift quality using vehicle accelerometers and AVL SoftwareRan quality reports and presented data to core calibration teams to drive transmission calibration changes.Utilized Vehicle Data Recorders to receive real time data from vehicles under 3 Month In Service.- Computer Aided Engineering Group – April 17’ - June 17’Worked with the Ford CAE group for 3 months to grow base knowledge in capability of CAE analysisHands-on experience in Abaqus, Hyperworks, and Catia.- Six Sigma Engineering Group – July 17’ - March 18’Assisted with hands-on six sigma projects in order to drive common departmental problems to solutions while utilizing statistical analysis tools such as Minitab and Matlab.Received a full month of training in Six-Sigma Black Belt Statistical Analysis.
