Bcbs239 Project Lead
As part of the BCBS239 Programme, I was responsible for managing the Group Financial Risk (GFR) component of the Programme.GFR covered 3 risk types (Market, Liquidity and Capital) and was the largest and most complex area in the programme, responsible for 40+ complex metrics that sourced data from hundreds of systems and EUCs across the Lloyds estateLeading a team of 30+ analysts and developers based in London, Edinburgh and Halifax we met full compliance at the end of 2019.Subsequently, I was asked to deliver BCBS239 compliance for the non-Ring-Fenced Bank (LBCM) covering Commercial, Conduct and Compliance Risk as well as Finance and in parallel, was responsible for embedding new BCBS239 processes into the business, ensuring sustainability.Full compliance was achieved at the end of 2020 and my emphasis then moved to further embedding the processes, toolsets and lessons learnt from the BCBS239 programme into the Risk business, and onwards into the network of divisional data offices. Working with other departments, particularly engineering, we also ensured new initiatives have a focus on data resilience from the outset, rather than retrospectively.
