I completed a marketing campaign for Cancer Support Community Central Ohio. Collaborating with a six-person team, I added stamps and address labels to thousands of postcards, which were mailed to Central Ohio Urology Group patients to advertise the Zero Prostate Cancer Run/Walk, which was held in Gahanna, Ohio on September 14, 2024. This direct mailing campaign increased event attendance by 150% compared to the 2023 Zero Prostate Cancer Run/Walk.I earned a Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate in 2022. For my capstone project, I analyzed data from personal fitness trackers to develop a strategy to grow the user base for the trackers. When I found that 82% of people listen to music while they exercise, I decided the best advertising method was through audio advertisements via AM/FM radio or streaming audio services. By studying three data metrics, including pulse rate, steps taken, and metabolism, I found that people got the most exercise on Saturdays between 1 and 2 PM. To grow the user base for personal fitness trackers, they should be advertised with audio advertisements via AM/FM radio or streaming audio services such as Spotify on Saturdays between 1 and 2 PM.I migrated thousands of Electronic Health Records from legacy systems into new SQL Server Databases for multiple hospitals while working at DataEmerge while complying with HIPAA guidelines, enabling those hospitals to spend more time, energy and resources caring for patients while I upgraded their electronic health records systems behind the scenes.I performed User Acceptance Testing on Ohio's Medicaid Information Technology System (MITS) by executing cases using HP Quality Center 9.2 to ensure that MITS operated correctly and efficiently. Also, I performed predictive analytics by creating test case execution reports using Microsoft Excel to predict the completion dates of testing cycles and determine a Go-Live date.

Data Entry SpecialistMediquant Feb 2019 - Dec 2020Columbus, OhioI developed a searchable online database of thousands of healthcare software packages. This search engine lets users search by the company the manufactured the software, by the name of the software, by the underlying database, and by the operating system the software runs on. The front end is a webpage written in HTML and JavaScript, and the back end uses PHP to pull data from an XML database file. This enabled data migrators to know which software packages used which underlying databases so they would know how to correctly transform the data into a format that could be loaded into SQL Server databases. This knowledge helped them to complete data migrations faster.I coded a website for estimating the cost of data extraction projects, written in HTML. With this website, clients would know how much a data extraction project would cost up-front without having to make a telephone call or send an email to MediQuant employees.I monitored the progress of data extraction projects within the Accelo project management system in order to notify clients of the progress of data extraction projects. I evaluated Statements of Work to ensure they were accurate and comprehensible before data extraction projects began.I created a Google Sheets spreadsheet with the names of databases and servers for data extraction projects and made it visible to all MediQuant employees, so if one employee started a data extraction project and was unable to finish it, someone else could quickly and easily take over. -
Data Migration SpecialistDataemerge (Acquired By Mediquant In February 2019) Nov 2017 - Feb 2019I performed data migration by extracting thousands of electronic health records from legacy systems, editing them using Notepad++, and loading them into SQL Server databases for various hospitals, enabling those hospitals to spend more time, energy and resources on caring for patients while I upgraded their electronic health records systems behind the scenes.I wrote an AutoIT script to delete all text between a starting word and an ending word from all PDF files in a specified folder, automatically completing hours of manual proofreading in less than a minute.I illustrated the operation of AutoMate workflows for a large hospital network using flowcharts so they would understand how data flows between systems in a visual manner instead of having to read lengthy text descriptions.

Software Development Specialist 1Public Utilities Commission Of Ohio Sep 2015 - Feb 2016Columbus, Ohio AreaI modernized the application used to produce utility company certificates by converting it from a Crystal Reports front end to a SQL Server Reporting Services front end using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, VB.NET, and SQL Server 2012.I revamped the Annual Reports website to provide additional user functionality using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, VB.NET, and JavaScript.I updated the Case Tracking System to handle additional utility company construction cases using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and VB.NET. -
Management AnalystOhio Department Of Medicaid Jun 2010 - Jan 2015Columbus, Ohio AreaI performed User Acceptance Testing for the Ohio Medicaid Information Technology System (MITS) by executing test cases with HP Quality Center 9.2 to ensure that MITS worked correctly and efficiently.I prepared and scanned paper documents for the Disability Determination Unit (DDU) to save physical storage space and to make it easier to search for and find documents.I answered incoming telephone calls for the MITS Non-Provider Call Center to direct callers to the appropriate section/department.I analyzed data with test case execution reports created with Microsoft Excel using data from HP Quality Center 9.2 to predict the end dates of testing cycles, ensure the testing process was on schedule, and determine a Go-Live date for MITS.I maintained data integrity by correcting information for thousands of Medicaid recipients in MITS, such as names and addresses, while complying with HIPAA privacy regulations. so that Medicaid recipients would have their information mailed to their current places of residence.I drew system flowcharts showing data flow between MITS and other State of Ohio databases using Microsoft Visio, so that people could understand how MITS works in a visual manner instead of reading lengthy text descriptions.I documented the execution of MITS test cases using Microsoft Word, taking screenshots of each step so that if a step failed, the points of failure could be visually illustrated on the screenshot, and if the test case, succeeded, the screenshots could be used to provide instruction to new users so they would know what to expect.
