David is involved in individual, family and marital psychotherapy. He conducts psychological assessment, with a speciality in the diagnosis and treatment of ADD/ADHD in adolescents and adults. He has worked with more than 1100 couples where infidelity has been a factor. As a responses specialist for Crisis Care Network, he is on call for first response to bank robberies, on site deaths/trauma He spent 2 weeks with the US Army Corp of Engineers in New Orleans immediately following Hurrican Katrina. He is actively involved in working with armed forces personnel returning from Iraq / Afghanistan who have experienced TBI and PTSD. He also devotes a part of his practice to helping men who struggle with sexual intimacy disorders, pornography and internet addiction.

Following inpatient work, David devoted himself to outpatient psychotherapy in his private practice, He was involved in psychological assessment, consultation and psychotherapy (individual/family/marital. During this time, he helped to implement and supervise the Lay Counseling program at Calvary Church, a 6000 member church in Grand Rapids. He is a Crisis Care Specialist, with Crisis Care Network....an international Crisis Response Team. David is a consultant to many local churches, and conducts workshops and presentations on a wide variety of topics.
