David is a Computer Science PhD, Machine Learning Engineer, and co-founder of startup Cerbrec.His PhD in computer science focused on AI and human-centered computing. He developed several methods and published papers related to bringing narrative intelligence to gaming and virtual cinematography. Previously, David worked as an AI engineer at Kasisto, a Siri-like spinoff of Stanford Research Institute for banking. There, he became inspired by the newest wave of language models like BERT and eventually became the platform tech lead for machine learning and AI. Along the way, he was awarded a patent for a novel method that allows bots to show they understand the type of question you're asking even if they don't have an answer or understand the question entirely. Afterwards, David joined EvolutionIQ, an insurtech startup that is using AI to facilitate disability insurance (and beyond) and has amazing product-market fit while also having a mission that is very net positive. David most recently co-founded Cerbrec, a deep learning framework that makes AI modeling more intuitive (GRAPHBOOK).
