Bendon is a multi-national intimate apparel business with wholesale operations based in Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, New York and London. Bendon manufactures a suite of brands, including licensed product. It also owns and operates a chain of Retail and Outlet stores throughout New Zealand, Australia and United Kingdom.This role was responsible for the strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting processes across the group, analysis of business performance and management reporting. This included:Providing analytical support to the business; financial modelling and commercial assessment of business initiatives and proposals Co-ordinating weekly, monthly and quarterly country forecastsProviding the Executive with regular commentary regarding reported and forecast financial performance Managing the annual budget process for the Group and countriesEstablishing and maintaining 3 year strategic financial plan for the businessProviding seasonal costing standards and margin targets to the merchandise development team

DSE (NZ) was a very profitable specialist consumer electronics retailer. In 2009, turnover was in excess of $365m through 68 stores, Commercial customers and Web/mail order. At that time, DSE (NZ) employed approx 1100 people throughout NZ.This commercially focused role was responsible for providing in-market financial analysis to the NZ business. My direct reporting line was to the Finance & Administration Manager (NZ)
