PresidentSt. Joseph'S Cbs Fairview Alumni Sep 2017 - PresentSt. Joseph’s CBS Past Pupils’ Union President (Sept 2017 to date), Hon Secretary (Sept 2016 – Sept 2017).Joeys Alumni is a group of past pupils and teacher volunteers, who have and continue to deliver concrete results worth well in excess of €1.5m in St. Joseph’s alone and €3.5m for 5 “P-Tech schools” over the past five years, including:• Successful launch of PTECH in St. Joseph’s, Larkin & Marino Colleges, O’Connell’s and Rosmini in conjunction with relevant state Departments, Industry and 3rd level partners. PTECH consists of elements of coding, artificial intelligence, robotics, real life skills, etc., mentorship of every student by our industry partners, IBM, Cisco and others. It provides paid work experience (at transition / 5th years) and a 3rd level qualification. This initiative of Joeys Alumni has the potential to transform the Irish secondary school curriculum.• Regularly email +1,800 alumni and friends, have considerably bumped up the numbers at our annual dinner to 150 - 200, have run 3 fundraiser golf classics and our first Joeys Alumni business networking breakfast.• Jointly developed and now implementing Strategic Plan, including improved social media communications, tackling school funding issues (public / private) plus targeting our activities towards provision of after school studies, scholarships, business networking, etc.• Clarified and aligned school needs with committee objectives.• Re-focused Committee from day to day operations towards high level mission in which each committee member has agreed, clear and achievable objectives.• Improved communications using new website (+700 sign-ups), social media (1,850 FB Friends and 660 on LinkedIn) and theme-focused, time limited speeches at annual dinner.• Developed a central database of past pupils (+5,300 records) from diverse incomplete records & migrated to Customer Relationship Management System, updateable from website, with email, text, Twitter and cash collection capabilities.
