To The Hiring Manager,I am writing to you today regarding the position that you currently have available.After an extensive career in fast-paced and high-risk environments where I have been responsible forperforming Fire Warden and WHS officer tasks, with a background in the Australian Defence Force as aParatrooper and Operator I thrive on my ability to master new skills whilst easily managing multiple taskssimultaneously within physically demanding roles.From wanting to make this career change I have actively sought to upskill myself and have gainedexperience on a live quarry in Queensland, where I have learnt the safe operation of various mobile plantequipment such as 777 and 773 Caterpillar Haul Trucks learning all aspects of load and haul operationsincluding safely reversing to the Diggers and Loaders to get loaded with soil, waste and road base, drivingto conditions as per all traffic management plans and accurately reversing up to stockpiles, the crusherand waste dumps to offload all materials.I also gained skills in performing dust suppression and filling tanksfrom the reservoir with a 773 CaterpillarWater Cart where I learnt the importance of using effective two-way radio communication with Loaders,Graders, Dump Trucks and Excavators to ensure that dust levels were kept down, and pads wereaccurately provided with the correct amount of water to achieve all road maintenance objectives.This experience also allowed me to master all aspects of working on a live work site along with theability to perform minor maintenance and detailed pre-start checks of all mobile plant and equipmentbefore operating checking all isolations, electrics, tyre pressure, sprays, barrel, fluid levels, communicationsystems and reporting any defective equipment.I am fully versed in all aspects of OH&S compliance including operating as per JHA’s, SOPs, hazardidentification and reporting, risk assessments, take 5’s and wearing the correct P.P.E for the task,With my absolute dedication to upholding safe working practices and promoting a culture where safetyand production go hand in hand, I look forward to the opportunity to exceed your expectations andbecome a productive member of your team including relocating for the position if necessary.Thank you for your time and consideration, I wish to make myself available for medicals andinterviews where I am confident that you will be able to see my vast skillset and the value that I canbring to your organisation.
