Purchaser/Logistics Coordinator Eagle Ship management , Stamford, CTMarch 2017 – Present • Processing of requisitions from vessels on a daily basis. • Sending out enquiries to contracted/approved suppliers worldwide or sourcing alternative suppliers for comparison cost purposes.• Administrative follow up of the enquiries, ordering and supply of goods whilst obtaining competitive quotations for supplies and placements of orders. These items include but are not limited to stores/spares/provisions/lube oil. • Placing orders bearing in mind future voyage orders, transport costs & lead times • Tending to the vessels needs within each port with short notice. • Working with vessels all on intense short trade voyages. • Follow up on actual delivery of ordered goods on board, short supplies, defective supplies and back-orders. • Control sending of pre-arrival notices of arranged goods to the ships. • Present analysis of quotations and alternative means of supply to the superintendents who in turn specifies deletions/additions/conditions of supply before final purchase order confirmation is given.
