A burning curiosity and a knack for learning have been two driving factors throughout my life. Being passionate about understanding new concepts and putting that knowledge to practice has been at the core of all I do, and along the years, it's taken me on a colorful path. Over time I've grown to love the journey, cliché I know, but true! I've gone from handling bacteria cultures, sequencing genes and collecting plant specimens, to taking a flight across the nation (Puerto Rico>CA) and tutoring kids, working as a retail manager and becoming a payroll practitioner and accounting assistant. I've taken pages of my history and learned how to apply them to collaborate with professionals in several fields and meet the needs of the companies I work for. As of the last few years I have grown increasingly interested in understanding the world of finances. For this purpose, I made it a point to learn and understand specific duties of my latest job opportunities and have grown to become an experienced payroll/accounting assistant and retail manager with a demonstrated ability of working in the financial industry. Making the most of my time, I've become skilled in financial reporting and analytics, payroll processing and timecard management, cash management, account reconciliations, reviewing contracts and hiring documents, personnel training and development, strategic planning and project execution, public speaking, Microsoft Office Suite, and data research, analysis and tabulation. As I continue to grow I hope to expand my abilities and pass along to those around me as much of my knowledge as I can, as well as help inspire the same curiosity to grow both as a professional and as an individual.
