Although I do have full-time experience within the retail field of work, I am truly appreciative of the number of years and skills I have developed along the way. I have always been strongly suited for customer eccentricity before entering the workforce, but increasing my public speaking and visual engagement strengths has been a tremendous help. I started as a sales associate at GUESS?, but I quickly gained a management position after six months in the retail field at Express, then moving into a higher position as 1st assistant Co-Manager at Zumiez, to now being the assistant visuals manager at Shoe Palace. My charismatic ways and relatable responses have gotten me to where I am today. As a Mexican American, I can communicate with my community as an English and Spanish speaker, which has led me to develop an obsession that I should be doing more with my profound talents. That is why I applied to the Project Management internship at Year Up because I can better my education to pursue a truly sustainable job within the business world!
