I have always been fascinated by wildlife. I have been a hunter, working dog trainer and falconer since I was a boy. I originally trained in farm management at Agricultural college in Suffolk. As a young man I then went on to manage hill farms on the Inner Hebrides and Scotlands east coast. I have also managed a deer park, and fly fishing trout farm. I worked at my first falconry centre in 1992. And several years later I returned to run it.I ran the farm on Lundy Island for a year, after which I returned to the mainland and started running my own bird of prey display team. I had a break from birds in 2000 and became the Animal welfare office for Torridge district council in North Devon.( just in time for the foot and mouth outbreak)in 2001 I was offered the post as head falconer at the North Devon bird of prey centre, and I built up the team of birds. I am still there.I started painting in 1993, and have not stopped since.
