• Completed a detailed review of US treasury in 2023 after the US treasury team resigned.- Renegotiated fees and interest rates applied to accounts, resulting in a $267k fee rebate for historic charges and an ongoing annual saving of at least $300k- Identified and fixed control weaknesses linked to banking portals and bank mandates.- Improved daily cash management process, reducing the time to complete by one hour, and improving the accuracy, allowing on average USD 20million additional cash to be deposited with central treasury at all times. • Responsible for integrating new acquisitions into Dentsu, ensuring they adopt standard Dentsu controls and processes, including FX, netting, bank portal controls, bank mandates and cash forecasting.- Completed the integration of a US acquisition in two months in 2023. All business was transferred to a relationship bank, all existing bank accounts were closed and training provided, allowing payments to be made via SWIFT using Dentsu's treasury management system. - In my final year at Dentsu, I was part of a team responsible for integrating TAG’s operational treasury processes into Dentsu, a £530million company purchased in June 23, with operations in 21 countries.

• Responsible for the cash management of entire Group outside of Japan. Managing a team of seven we made sure that cash from over 70 countries was centralised via the global cash pool, deposits and dividends, utilizing the Group’s treasury management system – Coupa Treasury. This allowed external debt to be minimised, and the return on short term deposits to be maximised.• Lead bank account rationalisation project closing over 1,400 bank accounts to date (45% net reduction since start of project)

• Managed an RfP process to select a single relationship bank for operational banking in India. The solution that was chosen and implemented included a bespoke cashpool that resulted in interest savings in excess of USD 600k per annum. A number of processes were automated including the recording and reconciliation of bank transactions and interest calculations for the pool. This resulted in a saving of four full time employees. • Transferred all operational banking to one bank in Denmark, Sweden and Finland after a successful RfP process in the region. Set up SWIFT functionality for all entities to allow automated reporting through MT940s and electronic payments using the TMS.• Implementation of new corporate credit cards that were lodged with Dentsu's preferred travel provider, for over 30 legal entities in the UK. Processes were simplified to allow the automated reporting of transactions.

• Managed a successful European banking RfP process, selecting three banking partners to replace twenty three existing transactional banks. Set up the initial project team with key personnel from departments that would be impacted, involving the team throughout the process. The decision to appoint the three banks was unanimously agreed.• Coordinated the transfer of payments from six regional European banks to Sage's preferred partner, allowing payments to be processed from Sage's shared service centre in Newcastle, resulting in headcount reductions in all countries.• Implemented a rolling 12 month global cashflow forecast including weekly reporting of actual cashflows using Belllin's Treasury Management System. Variances of over 10% between forecast and actuals were challenged weekly, helping to improve the forecast. This was the first step in implementing a global hedging programme.• Improved the visibility of cash around the Group by producing a daily cash position report showing the prior day closing balance of over 95% of accounts across the Group. This allowed Treasury to actively manage counterparty limits, previously we relied on countries to monitor their own cash and there was no central visibility.• Responsible for the implementation of controls set out in the Treasury Policy across Europe, including electronic banking administration, bank mandates and bank account management.

• Administration and development of treasury management system (IT2)• Enabled straight through processing of all FX deals by linking electronic trading platform (360t) and confirmation matching service (Misys) to IT2• Improved SWIFT functionality across the Group, allowing Head Office and subsidiaries to view statements and make payments through the treasury management system. Provided support and training when required.• Developed and prepared a monthly treasury dashboard and quarterly treasury report for presentation to the Treasury Management Committee• Ensured effective treasury controls were in place and complied with. Lead contact throughout treasury audits, no risks areas were identified

• Negotiated and put in place new funding facilities of £280m with several banks•Produced all treasury related board papers, including quarterly treasury updates, annual strategy papers and ad-hoc papers seeking approval for new funding facilities etc•Produced all treasury related figures/notes for the Annual Financial Report and Operating and Financial Review•Managed a team of three, setting objectives and monitoring performance to ensure the teams objectives were met•Lead a project team responsible for restructuring the group, transferring various loans and assets from the parent to the group subsidiary.•Responsible for risk control in the treasury team.
