David Raphael currently serves as Executive Director of Boston University Hillel serving the second largest Jewish student community among private universities in North America. Over the past two years he has reinvigorated the Hillel program, restructured governance, rebuilt development and fiscal operations and engaged all new staff. • Increased revenues from grants and contributions over three-fold in between FY’s 2015 and 2016• Restructured the fund development operation including engaging new staff, advancing marketing and branding efforts and identifying, cultivating and soliciting major supporters and establishing alumni and parent campaigns. • Established strong partnerships with the university leadership in an array of spheres including fund development, student life and multi-cultural programming.• Rebuilt the Board of Directors including identifying and engaging new board leadership and facilitating the redrafting of board by-laws. • Reinvigorated student engagement, Jewish campus life, Sabbath and holiday observance and Israel programming and activism.• Conceived, funded and implemented “Just Like US” an innovative campaign to connect students to Israel through social media.

David Raphael currently serves Director of Campus Services for Hillel International. In this capacity he serves as a senior-level field consultant providing organizational and professional support activities including strategic planning, board and professional development and governance, fiscal, fundraising and staffing guidance and support to Hillel Foundations across the nation. In 2012-2013 he served as the Interim Executive Director of the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale (Yale’s Hillel).
