For nearly 40 years David Ratterman has served as a trusted advisor to hundreds of participants in the fabricated steel industry across the United States and internationally. He, and the team of Stites & Harbison PLLC attorneys and consultants he has led, have been involved in every aspect of design, detailing, fabrication, and erection of structural steel, from contract formation to real-time challenges to project performance, to, where necessary, post construction investigation, litigation and dispute resolution.Over this period Ratterman and Stites attorneys have served as counselors to not less than a dozen national and international professional societies and trade organizations that deal with current and evolving issues affecting the fabricated structural steel industry. This history of service includes organizations such as the American College of Construction Lawyers, the American Institute of Steel Construction, the National Steel Bridge Alliance, and regional steel fabricator associations. Ratterman and the Stites attorney team consult regularly on application of standard form construction documents to the fabricated structural steel industry.
