Responsible for all Capital and Building works within the college from drafting and devising specifications, tenders, project plans and funding to providing projects on time and within budget.Overall Responsibility for Health and Safety systems, policies and procedures and, for the college Environmental Management System (EMS) which is Green Dragon Level 5. Managing the Estates team and external and internal contractors and facilities for this rural multi campus further education college in west Wales. Also responsible for the efficient deployment and management of the colleges ICT infrastructure and network. Space planning and monitoring, planned maintenance programmes, refurbishment works, general estates and facilities management of hard and soft services. Managing all relevant service and maintenance contracts and contractors. Responsible for drafting and writing the college estate strategy and associated plans and reports and reporting estates related matters to the relevant Governing Body Sub Committee. Chair of the College Health Safety and Environment Committee.Member of the college Executive Group

Mid And West Wales

Working alongside the Director of Estates and Operational Services Responsible for Capital and Building works across the college estate comprising 7 substantial campuses across Mid and West Wales working with Estates staff and Officers to ensure all routine maintenance, capital projects and planned and reactive maintenance is completed within resources available. Focused on the two campuses at Ceredigion I line manage the estates' staff on these sites and support the Health & Safety Officer from the other sites. Recently introduced group-wide EMS and H&S policy and procedures.Overall Responsibility for Health and Safety systems, policies and procedures and, for the college Environmental Management System (EMS) which has been accredited to Green Dragon Level 5. I Manage the Estates team and external and internal contractors of the premises at Ceredigion working alongside colleagues at Coleg Sir Gar and facilities for this rural multi-campus further education college in west Wales. I am Chair of the College-wide Health and Safety Committee and recently undertook the Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk management providing the knowledge and competence to undertake Fire Risk Assessments
