ADBA Support for Technician Dispatching apps supporting 80K field technicians for Prod, Test, and Dev using Oracle 11gR2 on UNIX and Linux. Design, create and maintain data structures, replication of data, optimize performance and enforce database security during development of new databases, as well as ongoing support of existing databases.• Currently lead ADBA team working with Application Support on a major project to redesign and implement a mission critical Vehicle Tracking System app on Cloud based servers. This will combine regional databases into a single global database allowing users to access data regionally or for the entire organization. This effort will save the company $8 million. • Responsible for data replication using Oracle Golden Gate versions 11 and 12 as well as Oracle Streams.• Successfully delivered a UNIX to Linux Migration project using Oracle migration tools and Golden Gate replication strategy, resulting in platform consistency across applications as well as significant savings for the company.• Enforce database security using the principle of least privilege to meet security standards. This involves creating and maintaining object grants, roles, and user IDs making use of AT&T's security service Common Security Platform Identity Manager (CSP-IdM) where applicable.System Database Administrator 2008 – 2014• Provisioned new databases following AT&T’s VPMO process using both automated code pushes as well as manual installs. Upgraded and applied CPU and PSU patches to database software to remain current and to meet security standards.• Supported several demanding OLTP applications considered mission critical to the business. Ensured no database outages. To minimize downtime, all maintenance was well planned and prepared for in advance.• Supported Oracle RAC 11g databases consisting of 4 and 5-node clusters in prod and test. Patched, added and removed nodes in the clusters. Managed ASM for administering disk storage.
