David is a legal practitioner and consultant specialising in industrial and workplace relations. Originally a radio and TV journalist, David worked in financial and government communications before gaining legal qualifications and moving into the workplace and industrial relations space. He was closely involved in the events of 1998 that led to seminal reform of the Australian waterfront. David holds a current unrestricted practising certificate from the Law Society of New South Wales and is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia.His experience is broad and practical, from negotiating complex enterprise bargaining rounds with a range of Australian trade unions to developing and implementing workplace related IR/HR policies and procedures. He manages top tier legal firm representation across most court jurisdictions, has participated in, and contributed to, high level commonwealth policy and award review processes and is often an advocate before the Fair Work Commission.David offers extensive experience and a highly developed skillset to continue into the next phase of his career in industrial relations and the law.
