Geometry assurance within platform development for new car projectdevelopment.The main tasks consisted of performing functional calculations and modelling in the software RD&T in the chassis area for both early concepts and late stage parts.

Multiple geometry assurance assignments have been conducted indifferent instances at Volvo Powertrain, these have been carried out withthe help of the software RD&T and IPS. The assignments have consistedof calculating the tolerance ranges and study the impact on criticaldimensions and to explore how design changes impact on the assemblyand disassembly of engines and transmissions.Geometrical architect and hardware leaderOne project has treated the development of a fully electric driveline forbuses. The responsibilities as geometrical architect has been to serve asa link between Volvo Powertrain and Volvo Buses regarding packing thedriveline in the bus and to be responsible for that the 3D models areupdated. The responsibilities as hardware leader has been to compile billof materials (BOM) and to communicate with the technology leaders,component managers and purchasing managers to make sure that the articles are on schedule.In the second project, a hybridized driveline platform, the responsibility hasbeen to, as a geometrical architect, perform packaging studies and to bepart of the concept generation of technical solutions.Throughout this assignment contact has been established with most partsof the product development chain. From design engineers to aftermarket.

The main task was to manage the flow of spare parts to and from the site, both physically and in the computer systems. It was also included to make sure that all necessary equipment was present.Over time my main task evolved to include to analyse the site's stock cost and to streamline it in order to aquire as low cost as possible. I was also assigned to hold workshops on another site treating the usage of functions in the BAAN software.Other tasks were: preparing the daily work the service technicians performed on the train-sets through the creation of working orders and time to time I was responsible for the short-term production planning, which consisted of analysing the movements of the train-sets and based on those create a weekly-plan that was sent to the operators.Not included in the time period is the summer job I had at the site, every summer 2010 - 2014, which consisted of similar tasks.
