I have recently completed my PhD at the Department of Physics and Energy at the University of Limerick. It was a multi-disciplinary project focused on the synthesis and characterization of metallic nanostructures which encompassed areas ranging from electrochemistry, electromagnetism, material science and catalysis. I completed my PhD in under 4 years and in that time achieved a wide range of publications, conference presentations and awards. The high standard of my research has been acknowledged through the publication of 5 peer reviewed journal articles. I was also awarded a New Foundations Research Travel Grant from the Irish Research Council in 2014 to present my research at International Conferences in Mexico and Russia I worked as part of a small research team and have shown that I am a motivated and self-driven individual who strives to achieve the best attainable results. I am a hard-working, enthusiastic and dedicated graduate who is actively seeking an opportunity to apply my acquired knowledge to an industrial setting.
