As a member of the Executive Team my responsibilities included: - Executive management and being involved in all aspects of running the business.- Strategic planning including developing three year strategic plans and annual operational plans. - Commercial and Business Development as the BCC Executive Lead for income generation. - New product development such as affinity schemes and thought leadership.- Corporate Partnerships through obtaining sponsorship from national corporates for BCC activities.- International trade promotion and developing a Global Business network of British Chambers. - National Government contracts with significant contracts secured from DIT and BEIS. - Marketing campaigns including implementing a Chamber wide membership marketing campaign.- Membership services and facilitating Chamber network meetings to share best practice.- Stakeholder management including building relations with Senior Civil Servants.- BCC observer on the Board of the China-Britain Business Council.

I was a member of the Board of Trustees with P3, a national charity that helps disadvantaged groups across the UK. P3 provides support in areas such as homeless and housing services, employment advice and assisting young people who are leaving care. P3 contracts with Central and Local Government in the delivery of these services. The Board of Trustees is responsible for the overall strategic direction and control of P3’s activities.

East of England International (EEI) was a contract delivery company with 75 staff, delivering export and inward investment contracts for UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and the East of England Development Agency. As CEO I worked closely with the Board to achieve a strong increase in performance and significantly raise the profile of the organisation. The organisation had a number of noticeable successes in attracting large inward investors to the East of England region, and worked closely with local companies to pursue overseas export opportunities.

It later became part of London & Partners. As a member of the Executive Team I ran the North American operation. This involved establishing offices and recruiting staff in New York and San Francisco and frequent visits to North America to meet with potential investors.
