YourArchive provides a new way to securely store, organize, share, and enjoy photos, videos, and documents. The driving motivation behind the solution was my family photographic collection and the work I am doing with my school alumni organisation. A vast amount of historical material was held in multiple locations and without structure. There was a lot of interest in digitising this content so it was not only stored safely for future generations, but also to make it easily available to a wider ‘non-archivist’ audience. So, the concept of a ‘social archive’ was born. The idea that one could not only digitise vast amounts of material and store in the cloud for security and protection, but then use smart tagging and presentation to take what might be very diverse content and provide fascinating insight to multiple different audiences quickly and easily, all without losing control of the contents. Designed to be used by anyone, not just technical experts, YourArchive provides the fastest and simplest way to capture reams of material and bring it to life.

MyPeople were formed in 2014 by a group of analysts, psychologists, and data scientists that supported some of Britain’s greatest sporting teams. Took over Videalert in 2008 with Tim Daniels. We rewrote the software and pivoted the business into CCTV traffic enforcement.It is now one of the UK’s leading providers of intelligent traffic enforcement and management and has a feature rich suite of attended, unattended, and mobile vehicle CCTV enforcement solutions using the same intelligent digital video software platform that I wrote with Colin Humphreys.I was the CEO but also the CTO, heavily focused on driving innovation within the business. We pioneered the use of digital HD cameras for static and mobile solutions, using H264/H265 encoding/decoding. We also built the first hosted CCTV solution that could run as SAAS application, with DfT Manufacturer certification for LAN and WAN solutions.

Part-time role to help mentor and develop the management team, with the launch of the product into the US.

Worked on the integration of Striva and INFA and decided to find a new challenge.

Started the company in the UK, wrote a fair portion of the initial product with Richard Spencer and Colin Humphreys.Then worked with Paul Bach to set up the US and sold it for $62m+ to Informatica in Sep 2003.
