David founded Invesco Real Estate (IRE) in 1983. As CEO of IRE for 27 years between 1983 and 2010, he was responsible for developing the firm's investment processes, operating policies, staffing, operating philosophy and cultural values. Under David's direction, the firm grew into a multi-national company with more than 400 employees and more than $65 billion in assets under management, one of the largest and most diversified real estate investment firms in the world. Respected for its consistency, stability, exceptional client service, and strong performance, IRE developed a reputation as one of the world's premiere real estate funds management firms, managing assets for prestigious institutional clients including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and global corporations.
