About David Rimmington

I have had nearly 2 years employment in IT, working on an IT helpdesk, in a 1st line support role. This started off as a temporary post, but became ongoing, and having never considered IT as a career, I found myself wanting to have a career in IT 3 months into my helpdesk employment. I have excellent customer service and analytical skills, and understand the importance of both team working and using your own initiative within this environment. I am looking to get myself back into this line of work, after a change in career. I have the enthusiasm to learn new skills, and I relish taking ownership of problems, so that I may be a valued individual as well as a much respected team member.

    I have been involved with this charity since 2012. I have recently run the Lincoln 10k for the first time, to raise funds for and awareness of this charity. We help children in Nepal, and have been involved with a Nursery for the last few years, but have also just taken on a new school, where we have put in toilets and a septic tank, to allow the children to drink clean drinking water, which is luxury in Nepal. The big thing about this new project though is that (whilst some upper caste children have been admitted) we have admitted lower caste children to this school to, and they will mix with the other children for the entire time they are there.
