CurrentDirector of the Forensic Studies program. My teaching responsibilities of Forensic Entomology, Forensic Biology, General Entomology, Poe, Holmes and the Evolution of Forensic Science. I have also taught Comparative Physiology, Invertebrate Zoology, Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology, General Genetics, a seminar on Seasonal Adaptations of Insects, and a special topics course on the Coral Reefs of Belize.My research entails an examination of the physiological and behavioral interactions that occur between and among forensically important insects that comprise carrion communities. Current research is focused on development of diagnostic tools for distinguishing fly artifacts and human body stains found at crime scenes, seasonality of forensically important insects, and developmental patterns of necrophagous flies and parasitic wasps developing on human remains and carrion.
