I have an affinity for bringing the best out of people and wanted to build a career that utilises this passion. So over the last few years I decided to focus on changing my career path and pursue a role that allows me to do something I love doing every day. This led me to an opportunity of joining SpaMedica, the largest Cataract surgery provider for England as a People Business Partner, looking after numerous Hospitals across East Anglia, Outer London and the South East. My role is to support all colleagues within the business and my Hospitals in any matters of HR, ER or general advice to ensure our values and mission are being met. Alongside this I'm also involved in projects and initiatives to improve the working practices of the business. Since joining I can truly say, I love every day at work, I love all the teams and I love having the chance to make a significant difference.Before I made the move into a HR focused career, I gained over 16 years worth of experience in retail management between 2 large companies that are leaders in their respected markets. I have held numerous roles including and up to Unit Manager/General Manager and dealt with all manners of duties and challenges faced by those in an ever changing environment that is retail.My time and type of work in retail and more recently in HR mean that I have been able to acquire a great set of skills transferable to many different markets and types of work, these include team leadership with experience between 5 to 80+ people, financial and operational controls as well as a lot of experience in performance management and people development.I am looking to continue my journey within HR based roles and one day progress further into managerial positions once again.
