I founded the company AZELLA (my mom's name) after watching my mom struggle financially and not having the proper guidance growing up (most women manage household money). I joined the Financial Services industry in 2012 starting out in UX/Product design for advisors at DST Systems, shortly after joined The Mutual Fund Store (Financial Engines/Edelman Financial) which aligned with my mission to help support advisors over the years so that individuals just like my mom can obtain the financial support needed from a fiduciary advisor. Azella focuses on brand, customized websites, marketing, and lead optimization for transitioning Independent Financial Advisors and RIAs nationwide.

We strive to provide the best thrift experience by caring at every opportunity. Proceeds from our store go to support the work at Mission Adelante in Kansas City KS, a local ministry that serves immigrants and refugees from all places. Thrift was no accident. Many refugees come to the country with little more than papers. Thrift’s low costs allow people, no matter where they come from, to have the dignity of providing for themselves and their families and knowing that they are part of a community. There was also a need for a thrift store as resettlement was booming and there was only one other thrift store in Wyandotte County KS. Finally, thrift stores bring others together by functioning through donations, volunteers, and shoppers. And so, our mission drove us to choose thrift as a space where community could be uplifted, supported, and dignified by every person.
