After graduating in Mechanical Engineering Science, I spent a number of years working in the pharmaceutical industry initially in the UK and later in the USA. I turned my attention to construction based products in the late 1980s, initially as a Director, and eventually Managing Director of the leading liquid roofing supplier, Polyroof Products Limited.I have been a Board member of the Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Association, LRWA (initially under the ELWA banner), for the last seven years and held the position of Chairman from 2009 to 2012. I am also an active member of the committee representing the supplier sector of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors, NFRC. I represent the liquid roofing industry on CITB committees developing modern apprenticeships and have been heavily involved in the development of technical standards within Europe.After being a director of Polyroof liquid waterproofing products for 30 years, I am proud to have seen the evolution of Restec and Resology to form the Roberts Group. I am now the chairman of the group, and I am excited to continue to share our unique and superior waterproofing solutions whilst upholding the values and traditions of our family business. Just as we have been leading the way for the past 30 years, the Roberts Group is dedicated to being at the forefront of the industry for the next generation as we continue developing new sustainable solutions.
