• Extensive experience in the manufacturing and service industry with focus on application of human factors and ergonomics to design of tasks, devices, workstations, and work systems.• Broad knowledge, abilities, and direct experience of experimental, field, and epidemiological study approach to measurement and analysis of human physical and cognitive abilities utilizing both subjective and objective methods. Application areas include design of mission or safety-critical and complex systems and system components, safety engineering and management, musculoskeletal disorder prevention and management, and usability engineering of conventional displays and controls and technology driven user interfaces.• Proficiency in a host of computational methods including signal processing and both linear and nonlinear multivariate time series analysis of human physiological and biomechanical responses. These include electrocardiogram (ECG), electroencephalogram (EEG), electromyogram (EMG), galvanic skin response, respiration rate, joint motion kinetics and kinematics, and eye movement.• Expertise in development of tools for cognitive and behavioral analysis of abilities (physical effort, situation awareness, and workload), human performance, task related responses (task analysis, fatigue, stress, satisfaction, protocol analysis), usability analysis (heuristic evaluation, contextual analysis, cognitive walkthrough), and measures of user experience.• Broad and deep experience in commercially available computational and statistical (SPSS, MINITAB, and SAS), analysis of both quantitative (parametric and non-parametric) and qualitative data (discourse, content, semantic, verbal protocol), comfortable with MATLAB programming, and Adobe Photoshop prototyping tools.• Well-informed in content and application of human factors and ergonomics standards.
