When I was first brought on, David helped catch me up and help me get going. He never seemed upset that I was asking questions, but offered critical advice on how to go about things. That's the thing about great mentors, they don't just give you the answer, they help guide and hone your thought process towards the correct answer. He provided that and never once made me feel like I was a failure for not knowing something. This has been critical in helping me develop as a software engineer. The "impostor syndrome" is heavily negated when there are people around that let you know that they've been there too"
