David has worked in the Vancouver film and TV industry since 2006. He served as a producer for two seasons of the hit CBC series “Scout & The Gumboot Kids” as well as two spin-off series. He is the recipient of numerous awards including Leo Awards, The Yorkton Film Festival's Golden Sheaf award as well as a nomination for the Canadian Screen Awards in 2019. He has also produced television series for Knowledge Network and worked as an associate producer and assistant director on feature films like ‘Hollow in the Land’ starring Dianna Agron, Sean Ashmore and Rachelle Lefevre. His editing credits include the feature film ‘After Eden’ which premiered at San Sebastian and later screened at the Cairo International Film Festival.Recently he has directed commercials for major companies like Ann Louise Jewelry. His work has screened at numerous festivals including Hollyshorts LA, The Okanagan Film Festival and Edgemar Santa Monica. His film ‘Match’ was given an award of Merit from Indie Fest. Other professional credits include work for Discovery Channel, Bell, Disney, Out TV and the National Film Board of Canada among others.In addition to his industry work, David has also taught directing at Vancouver Film School, Shoreline Studios and RSA Academy and worked as a directing mentor on thousands of short films including The Duke City Shootout in Albuquerque, New Mexico.Throughout his career, David has always held to one truth—that storytelling is the key to connecting with the world. Filmmaking remains the most collaborative of art-forms and he is grateful to work alongside talented craftspeople from all over the world in pursuit of one shared goal—a great story!
