I enjoyed various integral roles across a more than 11-year tenure at MDC Partners, including leading the business and legal execution of acquisitions, financings, leadership transitions and strategic investments as a senior executive and general counsel. In 2019, the board of directors appointed me interim co-CEO to lead a strategic review process and new CEO search. Upon successfully completing that mandate, I was the lone co-CEO asked to remain on the company’s executive team. In this capacity I helped lead a period of significant top-line digital growth as well as portfolio-wide margin expansion. In 2021, as general counsel and the company’s senior executive acting under direction of a special committee of the board of directors, we completed a merger of the company into its acquirer resulting in a more than 200% return to MDC shareholders at closing. I retired from the company in connection with that finaltransaction by mutual agreement.

Appointed co-CEO to lead a publicly-announced strategic review process following the departure of the company’s prior CEO, participating in more than fifty meetings with potential investors and CEO candidates, and assessing portfolio optimization opportunities. The process resulted in transactions totaling more than $150 million of balance sheet improvements and the hiring of an accomplished leader to become the company’s new CEO in in March 2019.
