Experienced Dean of Academic Affairs & Research, I am currently based back in France but enjoyed a strong international exposure earlier in my career, as an Associate in Investment Banking in London, New-York and Moscow. I was awarded the Highly Cited Researcher Clarivate 2020, 2021,2022 and 2023, as a very active researcher (120+ international publications ; H-index = 63 ; 20,000+ citations), I recently gained international visibility for my research on cryptocurrencies/bitcoins/big data/blockchain. But I also contribute to quality research on energy economics and green supply chain/circular economy, within very effective international research teams. My role at MBS has been to lead the academic affairs since 2013. Over this period, we achieved a remarkable improvment of our recognition and international brand power, especially considering our rather limited budget by international standards (which we doubled in 5 years). MBS is now ranked top 12 nationally and top 70 in Europe by the Financial Times and QS rankings. By drastically improving academic quality/processes and promoting faculty-driven effective and collegial initiatives, our school grew with a sense of purpose. Our Mission that promotes diversity and equality of Opportunity was strongly reinforced (independant studies show that 30% of our 4000+ students come from humble social origins vs. 12% for our competitors). Under my action as accreditation project leader, we gained the obtention and/or extension of all of the top international (and national) accreditations such as AACSB, EFMD EQUIS, AMBA in addition to the national accreditation in maximum duration (5 years). MBS is now a triple crown business school. We were also ranked 5th in France in research and ranked 151th in Economics and 300th in Management and in Business Administration in Shanghai rankings (2018-2020). This great transformation into a strong research-oriented institution was possible through innovation and hard work. I also led the recruitment of fantastic international faculty members (i.e 50+ recruits over the last 5 years). More recently I have been creating highly profitable international DBA and Msc in China. Happy father of an 13 year-old wonderful son and lovely baby daughter, I am also a passionate chess player (ICCF Correspondance Chess International Grand Master since 2014), 2 times France national champion, ranked 4th in the ICCF World correspondance chess final (2021), currently playing the European final too.
