I have been working at The Duston School since September 2008 where I started my career as a Performing Artist in Residence. This position enabled me to work with small groups of students and different members of staff in teaching Drama and Performing Arts. It was during this year that my ambition and desire to teach was confirmed. I then successfully completed the GTP in 2010 and became the Head of Department in June 2011 as well as successfully mentor other graduates through the GTP programme.I am also assisting leading and running the School Direct Programme that we are offering - a programme that trains graduates to become good/outstanding teachers. I am also particularly interested in Teaching and Learning and I work in a focus group in which we regularly monitor, evaluate and review strategies, ideas and systems for further development.As of March 2013 I am excited to be leading the faculty for Drama, Dance, Music and Performing Arts as we continue to develop and thrive to be Outstanding.
