Joined Rangers Football Club as Head Groundsman from Kilmarnock Football Club to develop the high performance playing surface required by Mr Souness in the development of the club going forward in EuropeThis began with the complete rebuild of the stadium pitch by lowering it 6ft to allow an extra 3 rows of seats increasing the stadium capacity and installing a high performance sand based USGA gravel raft preached water table construction.Project Managed the construction of all pitches at our Murray Park training complex to include 4 sand built profile pitches, 3.5 Fibresand profile pitches and 1.5 synthetic pitches together with all landscape areas surrounding the complex.Project managed the second pitch construction at the stadium to upgrade to the new Fibrelastic profile and the purchase of supplementary lighting rigs from MLR.I Head the department in conjunction with 2 Deputies and 7 skilled GroundstaffIn addition I am a Fire-fighter with Scottish Fire and Rescue Service working within the Retained Duty System, i was promoted to the rank of Watch managers in 2003 and attached to the station by pager alert day or night responsible for a crew of 9 personnel manning a front line rescue pump.
