I have reached an inflexion point in a long successful career, and I am ready to return to the USA bringing the full spectrum of my expertise to a company where I can make an even greater impact. Providing outstanding patient care has been the cornerstone of my work; adopting a holistic approach—guiding patients and their families through evaluation, surgery, rehabilitation and long-term support. At Columbia University, I honed my leadership skills and learned that to maximize impact on care one must influence policy and foster environments that emphasize quality, safety, and excellent outcomes. I am the CMO of JuniperMD and the President and CEO of International Healthcare Leadership (IHL). After retiring in 2020, I moved to China, where as cofounder of JuniperMD, I focus on building a successful business providing high-quality care to cancer patients through telemedicine. I also established an enterprise clinic providing excellent employee/patient acute care and wellness services. I maintain a clinical role, treating complex spine and limb deformities, teaching young orthopedic surgeons and continuing my clinical research journey. Working in an environment with under-resourced infrastructure and educational systems sharpened my ability to see the bigger picture. Influencing the macro medical environment can help thousands of patients —far more than the limited numbers my teams can physically reach. This led me to found International Healthcare Leadership, a NY-based organization dedicated to improving hospital management, healthcare policy, and fostering synergies between hospital leaders, government officials and the academic community. Through this initiative, we’ve brought Chinese leadership teams and physicians to the United States for training.I’m offering to leverage my clinical leadership skills, hospital management expertise and experience in med-tech business to continue driving impactful change in healthcare in the New York City area.
