I practiced complex commercial and matrimonial litigation for over 35 years before restricting my practice to acting as a mediator.In the course of my litigation practice, I gained significant experience in a broad range of matters, including shareholder and partnership disputes, real estate transactions, contested estates and trusts, construction and other matters. Combining that experience with extensive training and experience in the mediation process I bring a “hands on” approach to the mediation process.Prior to restricting his practice to acting as a mediator, I had appeared before all levels of courts in British Columbia, as well as Federal Court and various regulatory tribunals.Over the years, I have been extensively involved in various boards and advisory committees, including the City of Kelowna Advisory Planning Commission and President of the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, amongst many others. I recently concluded an appointment as Public Representative on the Board of Directors of the British Columbia College of Licensed Practical Nurses then the regulator of Licensed Practical Nurses in British Columbia. I am currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Sechelt Hospital Foundation.I divide my time between residences in Kelowna and Sechelt and am available to mediate disputes throughout British Columbia.
