I am an Environmental Consultant with 13 years’ experience in environmental impact assessment (EIA), environmental due diligence and environmental management systems (EMS). I also have extensive regulatory approvals and compliance experience in urban and resource development and major construction enterprises, including mining, port and LNG projects. I have developed and maintained systems to demonstrate compliance with environmental commitments and statutory conditions associated with major mining and construction projects and to track contractor conformance with EMS components. I also have significant experience in EMS development and implementation in accordance with ISO14001 requirements, including auditing. I have performed a number of environmental management roles and functions in the private and public sectors in Western Australia (WA), including land use planning, EIA, community capacity building, and water resource protection, measurement and allocation. I have also represented government agencies on committees and steering groups containing representatives from a range of other regulatory authorities and community stakeholder groups. I have a working knowledge of Australian Commonwealth and WA environmental legislation and best management practices pertaining to the construction and resource industries and have experience liaising with key environmental stakeholders including government authorities.
