An Experienced Chemist with over thirty years of Laboratory experience in Industry, securing roles with increasing seniority and responsibility. Versatile knowledge and experience of a wide range of analytical chemistry techniques including both traditional wet chemistry and the use of instrumentation. Trained in the use of techniques including I.C.P, X-Ray fluorescence, microwave digestion, chromatography, spectroscopy (optical emission / atomic absorption, FTIR), Karl Fischer and Thermal Gravimetric analysis. Experience of Metallurgical testing and Metallographic preparation, including tensile, hardness and resistance testing. Mount preparation, grinding, polishing and evaluation of metallographic samples. Experience of environmental sampling and analysis including effluents and stacks and exhaust gases. Supported by solid academic qualifications including a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree & Master of Arts degree, with a keenness to learn and develop further.
