Using Ansible, Docker, CentOS with DevOps principles to build out an Infrastructure as Code Hybrid cloud environment using Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS and lots of VMware products. Helping the company move fast and be more secure. Ensuring a repeatable deployable infrastructure is available for Development and Operations teams. Monitoring it all with Prometheus and Logic Monitor. Providing an elastic automatic scaling Jenkins cluster that leverages Jfrog Artifactory and Xray along side GoCD and TeamCity and supporting a full Atlassian integration with JIRA, Confluence and Bitbucket. Leading a team of Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) to support the rapidly growing and changing needs of Polaris Alpha as we migrate systems and support from ISS and scale out to support a larger user base and higher availability requirements.

As a Devloper Advocate, I'm working with Information Technology and various business units to cultivate a DevOps culture within the company. I'm working closely with the CTO to identify industry best practices as we take the lessons learned from developing WebTAS Enterprise and apply those practices to the company as a whole. My former positions with ISS include: Lead Engineer for WebTAS and WebTAS Enterprise & Dfuze360, where I managed all engineering aspects of the development and delivery. In this capacity, I managed the software development process, including requirements gathering, tracking, work assignments, product design, architecture, & delivery.I ensured consistent application of ISS engineering processes, including adherence to coding standards, code reviews, and unit testing; and assurance that software changes are coordinated with devops, integration, testing, and documentation branches. I was a participant in the WebTAS release management and Configuration Control Board process, including release feature allocation, schedule definition, licensing agreement compliance, risk management, and engineering resource management.

Also I have previously, he served as WebTAS Field Engineer, supporting the database and analytical needs of a USG intelligence command; acting as a liaison between intelligence users, IT staff, and the AFRL/ISS WebTAS development staff. I provided day-to-day management of all aspects of WebTAS administration, including managing the SQL Server database systems, Tomcat web servers, automated information extraction software, and the WebTAS client software.

As Project Manager and Technical Lead, supported the management, engineering, deployment, and administration of various software projects implemented at JIATFW, including Microsoft SharePoint collaboration suite, database applications, web applications, and web sites. In the Microsoft SharePoint project, he designed a secure extranet environment for reach-back capability and real-time collaboration by deployed analysts with internal command members and law enforcement partners across DoD and NMCI networks. As a result of his work, Microsoft nominated him as a Most Valued Professional (MVP) for Windows SharePoint Services (WSS). He also created a digital production shop to provide outreach to non-technical directorates and serve as the command Intelligence dissemination, source control, and search-and-discovery venue, providing a one-stop show for all intelligence needs. From a management perspective, he provided technical direction and project management to a staff of civilian employees, contractors, and military reservists. He trained intelligence analysts on the use of various intelligence applications such as Analyst's Notebook, Falconview, WebTAS, and COTS software. He was member of the IC Metadata working group, providing IC-MSP technical assistance and working with Microsoft federal contacts to guide the creation of Office 10 to support the XML metadata needs of the federal government. He authored several plugins to integrate IC-MSP with Macromedia Dreamweaver, Contribute, Microsoft Word, and Arbortext EPIC. He managed five separate websites on three separate classified domains. He oversaw a team performing daily analysis on web server log files, resulting in enhancements that decreased errors by 70% while increasing the customer base over sevenfold—a work effort that drew community attention and received a Best of Intelink award.

As United States Air Force Active Duty Airborne Cryptologic Linguist, Special Signals Operator, Intelligence Analyst, SPUDLITE Subject Matter Expert (SME), and Trainer; flew aboard the RC-135 U (Combat Sent) and RC-135 V, W (Rivot Joint). As SME for the SPUDLITE program, he conducted signals intelligence collection feasibility assessments in new operational areas against new U.S. targets of interest. His survey mission analysis was used to direct future national-level tasking guidance. He authored several reports and books on the Air Order of Battle of targets of interest, performed releases sanitization of all the units reporting, and disseminated the reporting to U.S. and partner nation intelligence agencies. He designed and implemented several software applications that allowed users to point and click through their preflight duties, which led to a 400% increase in mission readiness. He was handpicked as Lead for the startup of the Field Exportable Training System (FETS) training simulator. FETS allowed Intelligence Operators to imitate flying a mission by recreating mission conditions in a simulator, preparing the operators for combat missions prior to deployment. He programmed hundreds of flight simulations using in-house tools and FETS software and oversaw the standup and accreditation of the FETS program.
