An early pioneer in computer graphics and animation, David S Percy is a film producer, cinematographer, graphic designer and author. He has owned or part-owned businesses all his professional life. He is a well-established communicator, working with multi-national corporations as well as not-for-profit organisations.A specialist in business-to-business productions, David produced the world's first Annual Report on Video for the Emhart Corporation in 1982. His expertise has been sought by numerous institutions and corporates including the British Ministry of Defence, the BBC, Bombardier, Dupont, the Dow Chemical Company, General Motors and Toyota – and charities such as Magen David Adom, Kohima Educational Trust and the Redress Trust.Percy has produced courses on Mind Mapping® and how to use the human brain more effectively featuring internationally-acclaimed brain expert Tony Buzan. The BBC commissioned his training course "Mindpower for Business". He has also produced a popular Mind Mapping® course for students: "Get Ahead and Ace your Exams".David directed and produced "The Belsize Story" (2012) an in-depth, feature-length documentary film of the history, architecture and people of Belsize Park, Hampstead, London. He also directed the WWII documentary "Kohima: An Exploration of War, Memory and Gratitude" – Official Selection 8th Monaco Charity Film Festival (2013). Over the past 27 years Percy has authored and co-authored many articles, publications and books. These include “Belsize Remembered” (2017) fully illustrated with many of his photographs. In 2020 he wrote and published “The Harlots of Haverstock Hill” a compelling, fully-illustrated account of the remarkable life of ‘Moll King’, one of the first settlers on the road to Hampstead in the mid 18th century.His innovative thinking has resulted in original ideas for alternative propulsion systems, including a proposal for total conceptual renewal of spacecraft for future human space travel to the red planet and beyond. Percy's latest work is a book written with his co-author is “Alien Intelligence and the Pathway to Mars” published in 2021, an exploration of the links between ancient monuments on Earth, formations on Mars, sacred geometry, and proposed technology for safe human travel to Mars. He is the owner and webmaster of Aulis.com, which publishes in-depth articles and papers on space exploration.In November 2021 sequences from his cinema short movie "Discomania" were screened during concert performances of the band Soft Cell – performed at the Hammersmith Apollo Theatre, London.
