I have spent the last 11 years working with youth, young adults, and adults at risk in various settings, including both Wilderness and Residential Treatment Programs. I am currently a Therapist Intern at Alliance Youth Services, a residential treatment program for youths who have engaged in problematic sexual misconduct and will be graduating in March of 2024. I am currently managing a caseload of up to 12 clients, including clinical assessment, treatment plan development, and implementation by conducting individual, group, and family therapy sessions In previous positions, I was actively involved in the program development in coordination with the clinical team, including integrating clinical treatment, development and implementation of program boundaries, and training staff on new policies and procedures while supervising their implementation. I have had the opportunity to exhibit leadership skills in various capacities- currently as a therapist, and while managing a group home, leading groups as senior field staff, field manager, and as a shift lead. Additionally, I have been responsible for managing client and program funds, as well as setting up and maintaining program budgets. I ensured compliance with state requirements with documentation, reports, and was actively involved during audits to manage concerns, answer questions, and address feedback.I have the demeanor to work in a variety of situations while maintaining the ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals in the program, coworkers, employees, and other professionals in the field. I have developed the ability to build rapport with the clients and their families to maximize their personal growth and success. I can stay calm during high tension situations and have developed excellent conflict resolution and de-escalation skills. I have experience representing the program and have been actively involved in determining if a new client is a good fit for the program.
