The position comprises: • Accompanying the products from the first sketches of the designer to the current daily demands of the sales organizations• Initiate new products or sales activities based on market analysis and consequent business cases• Communication between markets, marketing and development for new products, product improvement and product ratio. I define product specifications together with the markets, guide the product during the development and initial production phase to assure design, function, price and time to market• Product data management and related topics• Sales support packages and product training and support to local product managers• Coaching teams, new employees and studentsMain achievements: • I am one of the main drivers behind the new product category “Geberit Monolith sanitary modules”, which were very well received by all target groups and are selling well. To develop and establish the category I had to overcome big internal hurdles and my work has sustainably changed the internal and external mindset towards design products of Geberit.• To participate in business in emerging markets appropriate products and prices are prerequisite. With several products I have successfully challenged and guided development and supply chain to products that are “good enough” at low production costs. This is now opening up big new opportunities for high volumes with big global customers.

The position comprises: • Technical lead of product development and improvement projects of diamond consumables. I was responsible for the specification of the products, the definition of the production parameters and the buildup and test of the prototypes.• Application testing together with sales forces and costumers on construction sites• Lead and coordination of projects within the company and with external suppliers• Supervision of scientific work done together with the ETH ZurichMain achievement: • I strongly contributed in asserting Hilti as a supplier for consumables within the new trade diamond service contractor. By studying customer behavior and circumstances he is confronted with on the job site I was able to develop and prove technical adequate products.

The position comprises: • Planning and management of a joined research project between ETH and ABB on high temperature superconductors for fault current limiters. To ensure production stability and increase the critical current density the impact of the precursor and production parameters were scientifically studied and consequently optimized.• Presentation of the results at international conferences and publication in reviewed journals• Supervision of 5 bachelor thesisMain achievement: • In collaboration with ABB corporate research I developed a reactive precursor and optimized the process parameters of Bi-2212 thick film superconductors. In production at ABB, high critical current densities in could be reproducibly achieved.
