David Salgado earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and his Bachelor’s degree in History, magna cum laude, from Northeastern Illinois University. In law school, David was a member of the UIC Law Review, the Moot Court Honors Council, and earned a Top Grade Award in Wills, Trusts, and Estates.During law school, he served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Alison C. Conlon at the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division. During his tenure as a judicial extern, he wrote bench memoranda recommending how the Court should rule when presented with dispositive motions.David’s current practice includes general insurance defense, premises liability, transportation defense, toxic tort defense, and general personal injury litigation. He has been part of two trial preparation teams in two asbestos cases in Cook County and Marion County, Indiana.David has defended cases in all stages of litigation, and he has consistently resolved matters for his clients at amounts well below the settlement demands that plaintiffs typically send at the onset of litigation. David has raised numerous motions to dismiss on behalf of his clients and has consistently obtained favorable outcomes when presenting these motions to the Court or to opposing counsel.Before working as an attorney, David worked as a law clerk at Gunty & McCarthy for two years where he helped defend cases involving premises liability, toxic tort, asbestos litigation, and general negligence.David is licensed to practice law in the states of Illinois, Indiana, and Texas. He is a member of the Christian Legal Society.
